Prayers for Trapper the Cyber Snoop

Trapper the Cyber Snoop

For everyone who has read any of Trapper's blogs or smiled when you've seen his picture. My Little buddy needs your prayers.  He is sick and running a temp. and his sides are heaving like he is having trouble breathing.

He is seeing his doctor at 0930 this morning. I'll let you know how he is doing later today.

Thank You,

Trappers Human

Trapper's Sneak Peek from "Two Hearts Joined"

Trapper the Cyber Snoop

With a Sneak Peek from

"Two Hearts Joined"

(By the Flames of Revenge)
A Novel by Richard Nurse
With Susan Nurse

The circumstances couldn’t have been better, for the man and woman who pulled into the parking lot of an old abandoned shirt factory. The buildings of the factory were a part of what used to be the thriving downtown district of Smithville, NY and, tonight, the only nightclub in the downtown area was reopening after being closed down by the city for six months, due to too many violent incidents either inside or just outside of the club.
The occupants of the car had both just recently been released from two separate prisons, and both were in violation of their parole for multiple reasons.  They were in Smithville, and they were not allowed within the city limits, they were armed, at least the male was. They had stolen the car in Trenton, and of course, they were in the company of another convicted felon, each other
The woman sitting behind the wheel definitely showed the effects of her drug use and time in prison. A former high school homecoming queen, and mother of one daughter, she could now only be described as a hard looking woman. Her only comment as her male companion exited the car, was, “You better not fuckin miss, Jonathan.”
Jonathan Pettibone, was dressed in fatigues, but without a single badge, nametag, indication of rank, or any military insignia. He exited the car without either replying to her comment, or even a glance in her direction. As the car pulled away, he shook his head, and began to walk towards the club with a distinct limp.  This limp was not from an injury; rather it was because he had an AR-15 strapped to his right leg, under his fatigue pants. The pockets were full of what he felt was necessary to extract his revenge.
As he limped along, he thought about the woman who had just dropped him off. Danielle had violated her own parole from Albion to pick him up two weeks ago, when he had been released from Fort Leavenworth, U. S. Army Maximum Security Prison.
They both had a single target that they wanted dead, but for two completely different reasons. Sergeant Dave Johnson, had destroyed both of their lives on a single night, sending Pettibone to Leavenworth, and Johnson’s now former wife Danielle, who was already well on her way to becoming a coke whore, firmly down that path.
Pettibone paused before he got to the corner, and reached into the shirt pocket of his fatigues, and pulled out a pair of major’s oak leaves, and pined them onto his collar. He then added three rows of campaign ribbon’s then slipped on his fatigue’s hat. He was now ready to get into the club.
Without pausing to join the end of the line, he limped along the line, laughing to himself as person after person thanked him for his service. When he got to the front of the line he slipped the doorman a twenty, “Think that a disabled vet can get in without waiting in line man?
The doorman slipped the twenty back into Pettibone’s hand, and moved the rope aside to allow him to enter, “Enjoy yourself Major; it’s gonna be one hell of a party tonight.”

Trapper the Cyber Snoop - I'M BACK

“Trapper the Cyber Snoop here, Reporting from unseasonably warm, North Chili, NY.  The home base, of Author Richard Nurse, and Nursesnook and Books. I thought that I would take some time while we wait for the first winter storm of the season, to bring everyone up to date.”

The boss has been busy writing and re-writing and has just completed the major project of having his already successful series “Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me” go through an editorial assessment.  The first four books of the series, which I call (Candie, Diamond, Serial, and Malice) have all been through an editorial assessment, re-written, copy edited, corrected, and a professional proofing of the final manuscript.  The entire series is once again available for you the reader.  The series is now longer by approximately 19,000 words, and with no added fluff.  Instead, much of the fluff and filler was cut and replaced with pertinent dialogue and new intense action scenes. All of this was done while staying true to the premise of the original story. A fact that was helped immensely by being able to work with the same Editor and Copy Editor team at Story Perfect Editing Services throughout the project.

The stories remain connected by the reappearance of characters, which are becoming central to the series. But, there is another connection between episodes two and three, and three and four, for clues or teases were strengthened, giving the reader a hint about the next story in each book.

“Let be the First to say that Yes there is a now a clue in episode four for episode five, which the boss is working as you read this.” For those that love a tease, keep checking the series website for samples and updates on where the fifth book stands. http://www.jasperstreet-fighterandme.com

The rewrite of the series, while it has been a major project, is not the only thing the boss has been doing either.  He has written a novel, “Love Ignited” which is going through a Beta read at present, along with attending a writing seminar called a Morning of Prompts, and has just completed a six-week course on Advanced Fiction Writing.  Both of these courses were taken at Writers and Books in Rochester, New York, and he has already signed up for a course on Poetry during the month of January next year.

Trapper the Cyber Snoop says, "Turn off the Politicians - Read a Book"

A message from Trapper the Cyber Snoop

The Olympics come to an end today. Congratulations of all of the athletes, well except for one that made a giant ASS out of himself.

Now comes the question, what do I do.  I've got anywhere from 200 to 1000 channels, of re-runs, infomercials, promo's for new shows, and an ever growing number of political ads.

Me, I for one and going to leave the TV off, and curl up with my owner and a good book.  Actually, I'm going to let him read to me about my dad, Street-Fighter. It was two years ago yesterday, that he left us for a better place, and I still miss him.  I'm glad my owner has made him a star with the "Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me" series.

The first two books in the series, "Candie is not always Sweet", and "A Diamond in the Ruff" are available through Amazon in their REVISED EDITIONS.  Don't tell him that I told you so, but we are close to being finished with the final edit for book three's REVISED EDITION.  We should have "Serial doesn't start with a C" back on the market in early September.

I hope you don't mind, but I had to slip a picture of dad in along with the book covers.  Trapper the Cyber Snoop

Trapper they Cyber Snoop for Nursenook&Books

Trapper the Cyber Snoop Reporting

No I didn't go on and extended holiday.  It has just been so busy around here that sometimes I just had to chill out with the other cats in the house, and let the boss go about his thing.  I mean, he has made a lot of changes this year, and not just with his writing.

He has been doing projects around the house, all of which seem to take a bit longer than he had imagined they would when he started them. Then he and the missus decided it was time to bring their antique dealer business to a close. A decision made in March, but which was finally reached with a final sale this weekend.  Add the decision to re-write two different series, publish two blogs, and manage three web-sites to the normal daily routine, and is it any wonder that every time I hopped into his lap to take a nap, he joined me in nap taking.

He has changed the office we share, twice this year, along with putting the series my dad stars in through a profession evaluation by Story Perfect Editing Service, making changes to the books based on their changes, and then making adjustments based on their final copy edit.  Book one "Candie is not Always Sweet" and book two "A Diamond in the Ruff" have both been completely through the process, and have been re-released as (REVISED EDITIONS) completed with new ISBN's/ASIBN's.  Book three of the "Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me" series "Serial doesn't start with a C" has been through the evaluation, and is going through a re-write at this time.  Book four "M is for Malice" will be on its way to the editor as soon as Serial is re-written."

It truly has been a very crazy 1st half of the year, but things are starting to settle down.  Oh and to keep my reputation as a snoop in-tact, I did make a bit of a find while helping the boss change his office last week.  While sitting on a stack of paper to make sure it didn't move, I notice the cover of a manuscript for book five of the series.  I didn't get the chance to read it all, but it has something to do with "steak-outs", and I always like it when he cooks a steak out on the grill.

I guess I had better quit strolling across the keyboard, and let him have it back, because I know he has more to do on "Serial doesn't start with a C".  Besides it is time for me to take one of those Cat Naps that are in my contact.

I almost forgot to put in the links for the new REVISED EDITIONS.

Hot News about "Candie" - from TRAPPER the Cyber Snoop

Hot News - Candie and KDP Select Hook Back Up...

While rummaging through a collage of bits and bytes, found floating freely in cyberspace this morning, I stumbled upon the some very exciting news.  My favorite Author, Richard Nurse, has de-published the Smashwords’ edition of Book 1 (Candie is not always Sweet) in the highly rated “Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me” series.

He has assigned it, once again to KDP Select, which now means the entire series is available exclusively through Amazon as an e-book.  As an added benefit, for Amazon Unlimited members, this now means that you now can read the entire four Novella length books, in this exciting series for “FREE”.

I found more information from daddy, Ops, I mean Author, Richard Nurse, but I haven't been able to decrypt it yet. It looks as if his first major case of 'Writer's Block' is coming to an end, so keep an eye on this site for more exciting news.

Trapper the Cyber Snoop - Another Scoop

Another Scoop for the Cyber Snoop

I love this job...How can you beat it?  I do my work curled up on a nice warm lap, and receiving the occasional pet or head scratch.  It is so easy, everybody knows that we sleep with one eye open at times, so I just have to play that game, and I get to find out all sorts of neat things without my human, Author Richard Nurse even knowing it.

Last night was a perfect example:
  • I saw his plan for a Goodreads Giveaway for "M is for Malice"  3 books, all signed, looks like you can enter between February 16 - February 29th.
  • My human the started playing with a post from his Fan Page, about how you can read the entire "Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me" series for free if you have Amazon Unlimited.  Pretty neat, I mean free is good right...
  • Then his fingers began to dance over the keys:  It looked like he was playing with an idea for a fifth book in the series, or possibly a short, staring Jasper and Street-Fighter.  From what I could see, I don't think that he knows for sure himself.  Keep checking, and I will let you know as soon as I find out for sure.

Oh yes, Remember to Spay and or Neuter your pets.  Also, on this super fridged weekend, think of my brother and sisters, still out there in the cold, huddled together in their feral community.  I know, because I used to be one myself.

TRAPPER THE CYBER SNOOP – Talks with Author, Richard Nurse

Trapper the Cyber Snoop – Once again First with the Story

I sat down with my human companion, Author Richard Nurse, after he went on Amazon, to get the link for his new book, “M is for Malice”, Episode 4 of the “Jasper, Street-Fighter, and Me” series.  Oh let me correct that first line, you see, I was actually curled up in his lap, when he woke me up with a Son-of-a-Bitch.

Trapper: - Hey, I was sleeping, it had better be important…

Author: - Pointing at the screen of his laptop, as he sees his new book’s  Amazon listing for the first time. “I never knew she had a book with the same title…”

Trapper: - Where have you been man, everybody knows that she wrote a series like that.

Author: - Trapper, you know how little I read, and you know that I do not read anything that is in the same genre that I am writing in at the time.

Trapper: - Well yeah, I know that, but this is Sue Grafton man…”

Author: - Well little buddy, I know who Sue Grafton is, at least, I know the name, and that she is a very prolific mystery writer. However, ‘believe it or not’, I have never read even one of her books.  In addition, until this showed up on the screen, I had no idea she has a book with the same title.

Trapper: - I believe you, and I even remember how you finally decided on the title.  You put “Anger words beginning with M” in as a Google search. Then you started checking definitions of words you liked the sound of.

Author: - Right on my little buddy. Do you remember how excited I got when I found that one particular definition of Malice?  It was like a flood gate opened, and the story that I had been trying to write, suddenly began to flow out of me.

Trapper: - How could I forget, if anyone of us wanted to see you, we had to come to your office. Your fingers were flying over that keyboard. So much so that you knocked the “F” key right, off the laptop, and then said a word that begins with “F”.

Author: - Yeah, and I said that word again, when I couldn’t get the key to position correctly on the keyboard, so that it occasionally stuck, or simply wouldn’t work. I am going to have to sell a bunch of books to pay for the new Laptop.

Trapper: - You never did a Title check did you?

Author: - No I did not Trapper; in fact, I never have done one for any of my books. However, this one was special, the “M” tied to the ending of episode 3. Once I found the word Malice, it instantly became the word that, defined the story.

Trapper: - Then I guess we can use a phrase from Crocodile Dundee “No Worries Mate”.

Author: - I have to agree with you there Trapper, especially as fast as both Amazon and Createspace reviewed and published the books.

Trapper: - You’re right there, hours instead of days. Oh and when you talk to Paul Potiki again, tell him he did a great job making my dad look way cool on the cover.

You know, you and I make a pretty good team. My dad taught you well, and it sure beats being out on the porch all the time.  Gosh, I almost forgot the readers. Folks, I know what is on his Kindle, and I can see his books from my spot on his lap. I can guarantee that there is not a Sue Grafton book in this house.
